Rental & RESERVATION information
Self-Return Trips
Our self-return trip begins above the Linden Millpond, where you will head East towards Lake Ponemah. You and your group can paddle as far upriver as you would like. When you are ready you will turn around and head back to the millpond. This is a great trip for families with young children.
RATES
2 hour trip: $30
3 hour trip: $35
4 hour trip: $40
Tandem Kayaks/Canoes $10 extra.
Downriver Trips
Due to river conditions, the only downriver trip accessible at the moment is:
1.5 Hour Hogan Road Paddle: $40
We launch you right from the Kayak shop in downtown Linden. We will then pick you and your kayak up from the Hogan Rd Bridge and return you to the shop. Tandem Kayaks and Canoes are not allowed downriver.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a reservation?
YES. A $5 per Kayak deposit is required to secure your reservation. This initial deposit will be put towards your remaining rental payment. However, should you fail to notify us of a cancelled reservation 24 hours prior to your trip, the deposit becomes non-refundable. If the Kayak shop has to close due to adverse weather, we will refund your deposit.
Is there a weight limit to the kayaks?
The weight capacity for most single kayaks is 275 lbs. We do rent Vapor Kayaks with a weight capacity of 325 lbs. These are available upon request during reservation.
Do I need to bring my own lifejacket?
Life vests are provided at no charge with your rental. We have sizes ranging from infant to XXXL. All individuals are required to wear a life jacket.
How do I pay?
We currently accept cash and credit/debit cards.
Where can we park?
Being located in downtown Linden public parking is provided by the city. There is a public parking lot in front of the Millpond Library, as well as parking on the street.
Can we bring snacks and/or drinks?
Please feel free to bring snacks/food/drinks on your trip. We do ask that you leave the river and kayaks in the same condition that you found them in. Bags will be provided, upon request, for you to dispose your trash in while on your trip. Leave the bag in your kayak at the end of your trip and it will be disposed of properly.
